GGS 353 Rock & Roll


 

This week Susan, Kelly, & Cort are back to earth talking about Rock & Roll movies. Film Independent screeners came out & we've been catching up so we can vote - Miss Juneteenth, I Carry You With Me, Minari, City So Real, Immigration Nation, We're Here, The Great, Nomadland, Promising Young Woman, Collective, & Little America. We watched a few other things too - The Vigil, Orphan Black, Buffy, Resident Alien (the funniest show on tv).

We also discussed the Golden Globes (18:48) then took a sports tangent before the Rock & Roll movies:

GGS 349 Bring It On!

 



Ready?! Okay! Rah-Rah Sis-Boom Bah! Geek Girl Soup is back and prepping for Sunday’s big game in our own true fashion. We’re celebrating the 20th Anniversary of classic sports/comedy film, “Bring It On”. The film spawned several sequels and is required viewing for the Cheer community. Jump back into the 90s sounds and the film that delves into important conversations like cultural appropriation and stereotypes. Cort chats with friend of the podcast, Erik C. Andersen as he brings some deep insider knowledge from his time working on the film as additional editor & first assistant editor.
